Ordering/P&P

As you browse through the online store, choose from the various Categories and Products to view Items in more detail. To add an item to your Basket simply set the Quantity and click Add to Basket. You can then continue shopping until you are ready to Checkout.

You can view the contents of your Basket at any time as a summary is displayed in the top left of the screen. To edit the contents of your Basket click on View Basket then add/remove items as many times as you please before Checkout. Remember to click Update Basket to recalculate the totals if you have changed any items in your Basket.

Options

Some of our products have a range of different size or colour options.  If there are options relating to a Product these will be displayed as a drop-down list in the product information page. Simply click on the arrow at the right of the list to view the available options. You must choose a value where an options list is given.

Checkout

Once you have made your selection and are ready to confirm your order, click on View Basket (if you are not already in this page) then Continue.

Note: New Customers If you are a new customer, you will be asked to enter details such as email and delivery address before you go to the Checkout; this creates an account for you so that you do not need to enter your delivery details each time you shop with us.

This system enables us to manage orders more effectively and provide our customers with a more efficient, customised shopping experience, but our system also enables you to track and monitor your orders too! Simply log into your Account to view or modify your details as well as checking the status of your basket and orders. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details of how customer information is collected and used by this site.


Payment

Once you are logged in/registered, click Continue to confirm your current basket/order details and complete the order online. You will then be given the choice of paying by Post using a Printable Order Form, or online using your Debit/Credit Card via PayPal (no account needed). Postal charges will be added at Checkout and are based on the weight of your order.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the payments process.

Once you have completed the checkout process and we have received your order, you will receive confirmation by email. You will then be sent further email(s) to confirm changes to the status of your order, including payments & transaction confirmation and shipping date(s).

Standard Orders & Delivery

Once we receive your order and confirmation of payment, in stock items will be carefully packaged and dispatched within 3-4 working days, but some items, such as those made by local or Egyptian craftspeople may take longer. Please allow up to 14 days for dispatch - do not hesitate to contact us for an exact dispatch date if required.

We use Royal Mail Signature on Delivery for UK Mainland orders and International Signed For for all other accepted countries. UK orders should usually arrive within 3 working days of dispatch, International orders can take up to 7 working days from dispatch (depending on destination). Generally, expected dispatch/delivery dates will be confirmed once your order has been processed.

Urgent Orders - UK mainland only

If you need one of our items in a hurry and don't want to risk waiting for standard delivery times, please contact us with your requirements; we can usually accommodate urgent orders and will do all we can to dispatch as soon as payment is received, using Royal Mail Next Day Delivery.

Returns & Refunds

Every item we sell has been carefully selected by Ishtar. All orders are carefully checked before dispatch, but if you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase please contact us so that we can try to resolve any issues and, if necessary, arrange for return and refund of the goods. Please note that items will only be considered for refund if returned within 14 days of receipt (7 days for Bellydance Costumes), unworn and in original packaging/condition. We recommend that adequate postal insurance is arranged to cover the value of any items you are returning.

NB. For hygiene reasons earrings for pierced ears can only be returned/refunded in the unlikely event that they are found to be faulty on arrival.
